The Principal of RVCE, Dr Subramanian, announced that he wishes to have ten faculty trained in Vedic Mathematics so that the methods and techniques can be included within the curriculum for undergraduates and has asked the IAVM to organise and implement this.

This is the first batch of a new course. It involves studying the book A Trillion Triangles plus watching videos, taking quizzes etc.

4TH INTERNATIONAL VM CONFERENCE REPORT
This conference took place at Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (Autonomous), Hyderabad from 29th to 31st August, and was a huge success.

“Multiplication by Nines and its Use in Astronomy”
Shows how Tirthaji's method for multiplying by 9, 99, 999 etc. (and by 399 etc.) can be used to determine astronomical positions.

“Practical Mathematics”
Shows how to find the equation of a perpendicular bisector, equation of a circle or parabola through 3 given points, and how these simple and similar patterns suggest a more practical approach to mathematics.

“Sum and Difference of squares”
This paper examines, explains and discusses Tirthaji's chapter 31.
