The tutorials consist of text an images which explain how to perform various calculations mentally, with interactive tutorial tests at the end of each explanation.

The location of the interactive tutorial tests are indicated using a button, which can be clicked on to start a dialog based tutorial test. The button should look like the following example (taken from the "Amaze Your Friends" tutorial):-

Clicking on the button (in this case the Yellow Box with the words "Amaze Your Friends" inside it) should bring up the dialog box containing the tutorial and should look like the following example:-

Pressing the numerical buttons/keys will start filling the answer field with the numbers entered. Numbers can be deleted using the backspace button/key. You can move around the numbers entered using the left and right cursor buttons/keys. The delete button/key will remove the number the cursor is before. If the maximum digits allowed for the answer are entered, then you will have to delete one of the numbers entered to be allowed to enter a different number.

N.B. if the question has more than one answer (e.g. the result of a division which produces a quotient and a remainder), for which both can be entered, then you can move between the different answers using either the tab and shift tab keys or the up and down cursor buttons/keys.

Once you have entered the answer, either pressing the "Enter/Return" key or clicking on the "Answer" button will cause the tutorial to check whether you have answered the question correctly.

Answering correctly will cause a message to be display indicating you have answered the question correctly. To continue with the next question in the tutorial, either press the "Enter/Return" key or clicking on the "Continue" button (which appears in the place of the "Answer" button).

Answering incorrectly will cause a message to be displayed indicating you have answered the question incorrectly. You will be allowed several attempts to answer the question correctly. Editing the answer entered and pressing either the "Enter/Return" key or clicking on the "Answer" button, will allow another attempt to answer the question. If you continue to answer the question incorrectly the tutorial will eventually display a message indicating you have failed to answer this question. At which point either pressing the "Enter/Return" key or clicking on the "Continue" button will move you on to the next question in the tutorial (The "Continue" button appears in place of the "Answer" button).

At any point during the tutorial you can either

Skip a question
Reset the test to its initial state
Halt the test completely

The buttons for these operations can be found on the "Controls" tab:-

Also at any point during the tutorial you can view the statistics on how you have answered the questions asked so far, by viewing the statistics tab:-

Once you have answered all the questions in the tutorial or halted the tutorial early, a dialog box showing how many questions you answered correctly will be displayed.

Clicking on the "Close" button will close this dialog box
