"A Unified Approach to Multiple-Angle Problems: Integrating Baudhayana Triples with Binomial Expansion" by Dr. Vikash Khatri, 2025
MESSAGE FROM IGNITEMATH.IN
With the aim of introducing Vedic Math from the basics (for ages 5+), we are delighted to present our e-books — Ignite Math Tier 1 and Mind Math Challenge Tier 1 — now available on our website: https://ignitemath.in/shop/
SQUARING A 3-FIGURE NUMBER ENDING IN 1
Suppose you know that 232 = 529, and you want to use that fact to get 2312.
Well 2302 = 52900,
so add 23 twice in the tens place and also add 1 to get 2312.
We get 2312 = 5 2 9 0 0
4 6 1
5 3 3 6 1
Just think of 231 as a 2-figure number with 23 in the tens place and 1 in the units, and apply vertically and crosswise.
Or if you would like an algebraic proof:
(100a + 10b + 1)2 = 102(10a + b)2 + 20(10a + b) + 1, where 10a + b is the known square (23 in the example).
FIND 432 x 47
Can you find the above product easily?
You can find 43x47 using by One More than the One before. It is 2021.
So find 20210 plus 2 more 47s.
20210 + 94 = 20304.
